Metallics, in hopes of SUN!

You can see from the colors I have chosen to design with today that I am desperately trying to bring on the SUN! I'll tell you what, it isn't working. We are expecting another few days of rain and perhaps a hint of sun over the weekend. I'm trying to pull my act together and make myself cheerful by using metallics to brighten the mood!
Glass beads made by Rufusandroxy in an awesome blue with metallic dots! Will be listed on Etsy tonight!

I love Melissa's beads and when I saw these on her website, I knew I had to have them. They are AWESOME! A blend of a whole bunch of colors and metallic shimmer. I combined these with a set of Deb Rosely's boro beads that I had that were waiting for the right piece. It's like they were made for each other, a perfect match! Loads of Bali Silver in here also! Will be listed on 1000 Markets tonight!

Another of Melissa's bent beads. Brown/copper Swarovski Crystals and Bali rings that move around and make noise when you wear the bracelet. I love the "ching-ching" sound in my bracelets! This one will be up on Etsy!

Yeah... you know who made these beads, right? Catherine Ondrey! I love them. They remind me of a fruit salad made with Watermelon, Cantaloupe, and Honey Dew... YUM!
Going up on 1000 Markets!

Rufusandroxy Metallic blue glass beads with Volcano and Indigo Swarovski Crystals and Panten beads. Going on Etsy!

And finally this was a special order for one of my customers who will be wearing a black and white toile dress to a rehearsal dinner over the weekend. I made a necklace and bracelet/earring set with Black and White Swarovski pearls and silver. She loved it! I can't wait to see a picture of the set with the dress, she promised to send me one after the wedding. :)

Since all we have to look forward to for the rest of the week is rain, I guess there will be many more opportunities for me to design jewels! Stay tuned for more to come tomorrow!

We're going to get moldy...

Just a quick post today to say hello, and wish all the Father's a happy Dad's day (mine especially, and my husband)! My hubby has managed to throw his back out yesterday, so our plans for the day have drastically changed. We're spending a quiet day at home just hanging with him and catering to his every need! :) Hope you feel better soon.

On the weather front, we have...yes, you guessed it - RAIN! I believe the weather forecasters said that we've had 28 out of the past 30 days with rain in our daily weather. I'm so tired of it, and someone said to me yesterday that "We're all going to get moldy". Ain't that the truth! With no opportunity to dry out, things are definitely feeling quite damp around here. The kids are stuck in the house (and driving me out of my mind) and with school being out only 1 day so far, they are BORED! Good grief, it's going to be a long summer! Come on sun, make a breakthrough! We really, REALLY need you!

Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's, I hope you all enjoy your weekend! And I hope it's sunny wherever you are... please send some this way! :) I'm going upstairs to bead, and I'll have more pictures tomorrow!

Dance Party!

It's Meghan's end of the year party tonight and so I was able to snap a few pictures of her before she left! I can't believe how big she is getting right before my eyes. I remember the day she was born. In a couple of years she wont let me take pictures anymore, so I'm enjoying it now!
Hope you have fun Meg!

Just an update on those bracelets from yesterday...Um, yeah... they are SOLD! Both of them. The earrings remain, and will be posted on Etsy. And no worries, I've already got a list going for Jenelle to get more of those beads. I knew they would be a hit! I promise to make more! I have a couple more pretty sets upstairs and I'll be submitting an order shortly!

Enjoy your evening, be back tomorrow with more!

Simple Sparkles...

Oh my goodness, I'm just in LOVE with these new little gems that I found!
They couldn't be cuter, and they are more sparkly than anything I've seen! These pictures really do not do them justice. I'm going to have to check my camera as I have not been very happy with my pictures lately. But I really think it's our cloudy skies that are more apt to be the problem and not my camera. Anyway, they are little seeds made by SFD, and petite rounds. I knew as soon as I saw them that I had to have them. I knew that I wanted to make some simple single strand bracelets with them because not everyone likes a chunky piece of jewelry all the time. These are Simple, have tons of sparkles between the glass beads and the Swarovski Crystals and they are so much fun! I've kept the names of the pieces the same as the name of the beads, because they fit so perfectly.
"Aubergine"

"Paradise"These pieces will be up for sale on Etsy tomorrow, if they are still available. I am meeting with a customer in the early afternoon, and if they are not purchased, I'll open them up for you all to fight over! :)

Jenelle and Daniel, you guys totally rock! I love these beads, and I'm coming back for more!

A very busy weekend!

And a fine time was had by all! I have been running like a maniac since Friday morning and today will be a much needed day to put my feet up, hang with an old friend and just chill out!
Here are a few photo's from the various events this weekend.
First up is Ann Marie, it was her sister that got married Friday night and she was the Maid of Honor. Doesn't she look beautiful?
Here's the happy couple - Congratulations to Annette and Steve!
Here's trouble with a Capital "T"! Heidi, Jacky, Me and Ann!
Here's a shot of me wearing my necklace and earrings that I made. I know some of you wanted to see it on, so here it is! It was so much fun, got a lot of attention and is definitely something I will wear again and again!
Last night was the Dance Recital for my Sister, and her two daughters. It was a family affair, and the whole 11th row was taken up by us to see the girls dance! Here's a picture of Meghan before we left the house.
And here are the Dancing Queens! We had a blast! Now it's back to reality!
I'll have new stuff to show this week!
Hope you have a great Sunday!

Rainy Day Jewels...

Oh man, am I sick of this rain! Geez, it seems like that's our everyday weather these days! Rain, rain, rain! BORING! :)
Anyway, what better to do on a rainy day but make some jewels!
The top photo is of the earrings that I made today to go with my necklace (that I made yesterday) for the wedding tomorrow! LOVE!
Simple, all seed beads, but about 3 inches long and dangly!
Gorgeous Ring bracelet in an awesome summer color! Looks like grapefruit!
Carey's Disks and some pretty silver spiral charms!
Melissa's Glass Beads with Amethyst and Olivine Swarovski Crystals!

All of these (with the exception of my earrings) will be listed on Etsy later on tonight! Or maybe 1000 Markets... Either way, I'll let you know where they are once they are posted. (UPDATE: They are on Etsy!)

Guess what the forecast for tomorrow is... Yep, you got it! RAIN! Rain is good luck for the wedding couple but a major pain in the butt for everyone involved. I'm on the hunt for all of my big umbrella's!

Promoting a contest!

I learned about a contest from Mellisa of Chinook Jewelry... I know she wants to win, but I looked at the prize and it's a box full of free beads from Silver Parrot Designs! YEAH! I'm posting a link here to to contest so that if any of you are interested in entering too, you can jump on it! But hurry, it ends tomorrow!

My Jewelry Accent...

We are going to a wedding on Friday night! We never go anywhere, with three kids it's hard to get out. But my parents are taking the kids overnight, I bought myself a pretty little black dress and here is my jewelry! I've been working on it all week!
Not happy again with the photo's but it's been raining here for two days and there is NO sun!
It features, you guessed it... a gorgeous flower focal bead made by Melissa Rediger and of course I have to have some of Carey's beautiful ring beads in there. There are two colors of green (teeny-weeny) seed beads at the back and I used hammered silver circles, a Hibiscus Button and a Bali Toggle clasp.
I LOVE this necklace!
Now, what to do for earrings?
:)

Perfect for any dressy occassion!

A revival of the "Blue Jean Baby" design...

Some of you may remember a bracelet I made last year that was called "Blue Jean Baby", well I decided that it was time to make another!
I make these bracelets with a menagerie of Carey's glass beads, including focals, disks and rounds. Whatever I have in my bead boxes that kind of goes together, I put in there. They are so fun! I added Swarovski Crystals and Bali Silver spacers everywhere. Finished them with Bali Toggles.
The Blue one has been listed on Etsy (the green is sold already).
Here are a beautiful pair of Lampwork glass beads that I bought on Etsy, that have imprinted Daisy's in them. They are a great Metallic Steel Blue/Grey and I accented them with Indigo Swarovski Crystals. Also listed on Etsy this morning!
More to come!
Have a great day!
