Holiday Sale information!

Well yesterday was productive in the way of delivering the display boards to the Hair Four You salon and to Art & Soul in New Canaan. I was up late Monday evening putting the final touches on them, printing out an inventory sheet for the shops and making sure each piece had the correct label. I went grocery shopping last night for tomorrow's holiday dinner and today is another very busy day of shortened school for the kids and just trying to pull my house together for my family's arrival on Thursday.

Once Friday hits, it's all downhill from there! Starting Friday, I will be participating in the CT Etsy Team's Holiday Sale! I'm going to try something different this time. I am going to offer 10% off purchases over $50 and 15% off purchases over $100 or more, plus free shipping! I have rearranged the entire store and will be adding pieces before Friday and throughout the month. This sale will start on Black Friday and end December 24th!
I hope you'll stop by and see what goodies I have in my store over the next month, and I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving!

The Mad Dash!

I went to work this morning at 9am, right after dropping my daughter off at school. I did not stop until 4pm, and that was only to step outside before the light went away so I could photograph what I made today! These will be either added to a display board or taken with me to the craft fair or put up on Etsy... can't decide. But I'll know by the end of the evening where their fate lies.

There's a LOT here! Can't wait to go back upstairs in my office and make MORE!!! I'll be beading every day until December 6th, for the Holiday Spectacular. After that perhaps I'll get a small break. I do know though that if I do bead constantly until then, that I'll be in desperate need of new glass! I'm digging into my bead boxes and coming out with some beautiful glass that I have not seen in a while! I'm a hoarder, in case you have not figured that out by now!

Ok, back tomorrow with more! Hope you have a great night!

Amber Waves...

Holy cow, I am really having a hard time putting this piece up for sale! These are GORGEOUS beads made by Carey, that are an amber color with lots of swirls of purples in them. Oh my gosh, just so pretty! I had some disks that matched as well so I threw them all together with Swarovski Crystals in Smoked Topaz, Amethyst and Light Colorado Topaz. There are some pewter pieces separating the beads and some awesome drum beads. I made lots of charms and then wrapped it all up with coordinating seed beads!! Yummy! The only problem is that it started off as a size 7 1/2" and once I finished wrapping it it fits more like a 7" now. So it will have to be for someone with a small wrist or I can resize it with a slightly different end result (same concept but the seed bead wrap may end up in different places, if you know what I mean?).

For now I'm keeping it as is, in the hopes that someone with a smaller wrist will fall in love with it as much as I have! The earrings are so cool also. Made with matching beads, they almost look like little people to me! Just love this set!!! I hope you enjoy it as well!

Remodeling!

Good morning everyone! I'm dedicating this post to a new little project of mine. I am going to be placing some display boards in a couple of different places in the next week in time for holiday shopping. So in order for me to do that, I will be doing a little remodeling in my Etsy Store. I'm going to be taking some of those pieces and putting them up for sale locally and then I'll be adding new pieces to the store as I make them. Kind of a fresh start. So if there is anything that you have had your eye on in the store, you should pick it up now. I'll even throw a 10% discount at you! Just mention "remodel" in the comments section of your order and I'll send you a revised invoice. The two places that I will have jewelry up locally are at:

Hair Four You - Plainville, CT
(my hair salon, with the best and nicest hairdresser ever - Lisa!)

December is going to be a fast paced, whirlwind of activity! There is the Farmers Market on December 4th, the Holiday Spectacular in North Haven on December 6th and two displays going up that I need to fill. WOW! I guess I'll have to really sit down and focus on making jewelry! :)

Here is a picture of the newest piece I made. I just love it! It's a really pretty black watch face accented by Swarovski Crystals in Jet and Crystal AB and these huge antique pewter beaded balls. They are so cool! Gives the piece some substance! I finished it with a hammered pewter toggle as well. I was thinking that it will be so nice to wear this around the holiday's and then I thought that this is really something you can wear EVERY day!

I'll be back tomorrow with more updates. I have lots of jewelry to make today! Many holiday items in mind, plus I snuck out to the bead store last night for a leisurely stroll through as my husband watched the kiddo's. Yay! That's always fun for me! :)

Did someone say cold?

Yeah, I'll say! It was freezing downtown! However, I will be doing the show on December 4th as well. Mainly to hang out with my Dad, but I promised some people that I'd be back on that date so if you stopped by today, rest assured, that unless there are inches of snow on the ground or it is raining/snowing... I will be there. I have a flyer that I'll be posting up tomorrow as a reminder of the date! Hope you all had a great day and stayed warmer than I did! :)

Farmer's Market tomorrow!

Ok, so I've decided to brave the cold and the "possible" snow showers and do the Farmer's Market tomorrow on the Green Downtown Waterbury from 11 - 3. I'm going to probably wrap up and leave around 2 though. I don't know how much publicity there was for this, but I'm going to give it a try anyway! Got my gloves and scarf, and lots of pretty jewelry so if you are in the area, please stop by!!! Hope to see you there! :)

Back to work!

Well the weekend is done, the day off from School is finished and now it's time for me to get back to work preparing for the Brass City Harvest Farmers Market I will be having a table at on November 20th. I know that it's going to be FREEZING outside and this is the first of 2 shows I signed up for, the second one is on December 4th. I bought some heavy duty white tarps for my tent to make sides so that will cut down on any wind that may knock me over but I fear that I will be cold nonetheless. It's ok, any opportunity to show my jewelry to people who don't normally see it is a good thing, plus the holiday's are right around the corner. Time to get those gifts taken care of!

Be sure to come by and see me if you are in the Downtown Waterbury area on November 20th, from 11am - 2pm!

Back tomorrow with more pictures, as I have a busy day of creating ahead of me! :)

Here's our girls!

We had the pleasure of touring the NBC 30 News Station today with our Girl Scout Troop and we met with Ryan Hanrahan, Lauren Petty and Michael Ratte. They were all very nice and it was such a pleasure to have the opportunity to speak with them, ask them questions and we were able to stay and watch the 6:00pm news live! I know the troop leader, Carol and I were thrilled to be able to do this and the girls have now earned a badge and are on their way to earning another one! It was so much fun, we all learned a ton about what goes into a news broadcast and how the anchors prepare for the show. The girls had a taste of what really cool jobs there are out there and maybe we'll have some future Journalists or Meteorologists in our midst! I know they all said that they would be watching the news more often now! :) Ah, success!

Last minute goodies!

Here's the last of what will be brought to the show tonight! I just have to pack it in and start packing up now, even though I am on a ROLL! :)

Whatever is left over after tonight will go up on Etsy over the weekend. But stay tuned for more designs, as this is the first of 4 shows I have before Christmas! YAY! Have a great Friday!

Water Lilies...

Inspired by Monet's Painting "Water Lilies", these beads were created by Jenelle of Sortaflowering Designs. Another set that I have had in my secret stash forever, I feel now that I need to share. I like to hoard things, can you tell? :)

I have simply accented these glass beads with Swarovski Crystals in Olivine, Aqua, Sapphire, Amethyst and violet, with antique pewter Panten beads inbetween. It's simple, elegant and beautiful! I hope you enjoy it!

It's an earring day...

Earrings, earrings and more earrings! The show I'm doing on Friday has a big earring crowd so I am trying to get some really cool ones done for them. Here's a preview! These probably wont go up on Etsy, as the show is getting closer, but if you see something you like, give me a holler!
Oh, and there is one bracelet too! :)
