Did someone say cold?

Yeah, I'll say! It was freezing downtown! However, I will be doing the show on December 4th as well. Mainly to hang out with my Dad, but I promised some people that I'd be back on that date so if you stopped by today, rest assured, that unless there are inches of snow on the ground or it is raining/snowing... I will be there. I have a flyer that I'll be posting up tomorrow as a reminder of the date! Hope you all had a great day and stayed warmer than I did! :)

Farmer's Market tomorrow!

Ok, so I've decided to brave the cold and the "possible" snow showers and do the Farmer's Market tomorrow on the Green Downtown Waterbury from 11 - 3. I'm going to probably wrap up and leave around 2 though. I don't know how much publicity there was for this, but I'm going to give it a try anyway! Got my gloves and scarf, and lots of pretty jewelry so if you are in the area, please stop by!!! Hope to see you there! :)

Back to work!

Well the weekend is done, the day off from School is finished and now it's time for me to get back to work preparing for the Brass City Harvest Farmers Market I will be having a table at on November 20th. I know that it's going to be FREEZING outside and this is the first of 2 shows I signed up for, the second one is on December 4th. I bought some heavy duty white tarps for my tent to make sides so that will cut down on any wind that may knock me over but I fear that I will be cold nonetheless. It's ok, any opportunity to show my jewelry to people who don't normally see it is a good thing, plus the holiday's are right around the corner. Time to get those gifts taken care of!

Be sure to come by and see me if you are in the Downtown Waterbury area on November 20th, from 11am - 2pm!

Back tomorrow with more pictures, as I have a busy day of creating ahead of me! :)

Here's our girls!

We had the pleasure of touring the NBC 30 News Station today with our Girl Scout Troop and we met with Ryan Hanrahan, Lauren Petty and Michael Ratte. They were all very nice and it was such a pleasure to have the opportunity to speak with them, ask them questions and we were able to stay and watch the 6:00pm news live! I know the troop leader, Carol and I were thrilled to be able to do this and the girls have now earned a badge and are on their way to earning another one! It was so much fun, we all learned a ton about what goes into a news broadcast and how the anchors prepare for the show. The girls had a taste of what really cool jobs there are out there and maybe we'll have some future Journalists or Meteorologists in our midst! I know they all said that they would be watching the news more often now! :) Ah, success!

Last minute goodies!

Here's the last of what will be brought to the show tonight! I just have to pack it in and start packing up now, even though I am on a ROLL! :)

Whatever is left over after tonight will go up on Etsy over the weekend. But stay tuned for more designs, as this is the first of 4 shows I have before Christmas! YAY! Have a great Friday!

Water Lilies...

Inspired by Monet's Painting "Water Lilies", these beads were created by Jenelle of Sortaflowering Designs. Another set that I have had in my secret stash forever, I feel now that I need to share. I like to hoard things, can you tell? :)

I have simply accented these glass beads with Swarovski Crystals in Olivine, Aqua, Sapphire, Amethyst and violet, with antique pewter Panten beads inbetween. It's simple, elegant and beautiful! I hope you enjoy it!

It's an earring day...

Earrings, earrings and more earrings! The show I'm doing on Friday has a big earring crowd so I am trying to get some really cool ones done for them. Here's a preview! These probably wont go up on Etsy, as the show is getting closer, but if you see something you like, give me a holler!
Oh, and there is one bracelet too! :)

Blue Jean Baby!

Oh my goodness, could you just LOOK at this beautiful bracelet? I swear, it is so out of the box for me, as I am a huge fan of symmetry! I just love it. Made with a multitude of Carey's beads, disks, focals and some thicker disk shaped beads, Swarovski Crystals in Indian Sapphire, Olivine and Jonquil; Bali silver rings and Twist Toggle, and some really cool drum beads. Abstract, different and above all, FUN! I made lots of earrings today too, I'll post those in a little while! So, what do you think?? :)

Excuse me, do you have the time?

I know that if anyone asked me that question, I would so enjoy looking down at this watch and sharing the time with them. I am calling it Fairy Whispers, and it's made with a fabulous bead set in light purples and greens that were made by Carey. They are such soft pretty colors and this is such a beautiful piece. The disks are almost transparent with a hint of soft iridescent color and the accent beads are a mixture of purple hollows with hints of muted greens and purple. AWESOME beads! I know Carey had/has a couple of these sets available in her store, and this set became mine the instant I saw it! I added a square watch face and square toggle and stacked heishi spacers. The perfect time piece for any day!

More Fall inspired Designs...

Since we turned the clocks back last night, I woke up at 6:30am, which normally would have been 7:30, ready to go! I fed the cats, make some oatmeal, and then headed up to my office. The house was still quiet so I took full advantage of that!

The first piece, is a full set called Simple Harvest. The necklace, earrings and bracelet(s) match. They are made with seashell beads and donut sized spacers, the earrings are Calla Lilly shaped. I added Swarovski Crystals in Indian Red and Copper, stacked spacers and finished them with Bali Toggle Clasps.

The second piece is called Sunflower Farm. Beautiful Glass beads made by Carey, accented by light green Swarovski Pearls, silver disks, Hill Tribe Silver leaf spacers, and Swarovski Spacers in Sand Opal, and Smoked Topaz finished with a Sunflower Toggle Clasp. I also added some pretty charms with the colors above in addition to some Coffee Quartz briolettes. The earrings make the set complete. Gorgeous!

I'll get these up on Etsy later today! Have a great Sunday!

It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas and First Snowfall...

I'm not a fan of Christmas or snow for that matter, however, I am a HUGE fan of Swarovski Crystals. I love the tennis bracelet style and so I make a lot of single strand bracelets in simpler forms that include lots of Swarovski and Silver! Really pretty! These will go up on Etsy later on! :) I hope you like them!

Blue Lagoon and Olive Garden...

Ok, did you ever do something that was such a pain in the butt, but you kept up with it because you knew the finished product would be amazing?? That's what I am saying about this Blue Lagoon necklace. It took me FOREVER to finish! But I think it was so worth it... just look at it! Oh my! A beautiful Glass focal made by Juln, a fellow Etsy seller. The depth in this bead is incredible. You can't tell by the pictures, but believe me, it's a masterpiece! I have accented it with Swarovski Cosmic Rings in Bermuda Blue (can you tell I'm really into these rings lately??) Love them. I added Swarovski Crystals in Olivine and Indicolite, and silver balls. It's finished with a beautiful silver toggle. I made a simple but matching pair of earrings as to not take away from this stunning necklace.

The Olive Garden piece, I just love this one. A beautiful Curved bead made by Melissa Rediger that has little crystals right in it, accented by Bali twist spacers, pewter Rose balls, and swarovski crystals in Olivine and Smoky Quartz. *sigh* I wish I could keep all my jewelry! Better snatch them up or I just MIGHT!

Back to my office to create while it's still light out. I'll get these up on Etsy tonight. Maybe I'll have enough time to get one more picture up today!! Stay tuned!

The Cheerleader, The Lion and SPIDERMAN!

Here's some pictures of the kids last night getting ready for trick or treating! I'm dedicating the day today and tomorrow to making jewelry so please check back for a whole bunch of creations to be made! Hope you all have a great weekend!
